Susan Harubin, owner of Zen Glow Skin Care & Spa in Mirror Lake, underwent cancer treatments at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center last year. ?It was a very frightening and difficult time for my family and me, but the staff at NCCC were supportive, professional, and extremely accomodating and made me feel safe when I was there. Jojoba ? We chose jojoba for its unique properties and versatile uses. In our opinion, nothing comes close to jojoba for its list of benefits. Historically, Native Americans used jojoba to treat skin abrasions, cuts, and burns, and also used it as a hair and skin conditioner.

They say necessity is the mother of invention, and with this statement comes the birth of a fabulous, new body care line ? Glow Bella! Natural Body Care products. It all began in her private skincare practice, where this exceptional line was developed and tweaked until it became what it is today.

Glow Bella! Natural Body Care Products were created out of a need for high-quality, natural and gentle solutions to body care. Susan Harubin, a licensed esthetician, put her money where her mouth was and went to work crafting a superior body care line that could be used on all skin types; including extremely sensitive; such as for people with chronic skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. Being a lifetime sufferer of both eczema and psoriasis herself, Harubin set out to develop a gentle and natural body, hand, and foot moisturizer that wouldn't sting her skin when applied. "Perfumes, dyes, harsh detergents, and cheap fillers such as mineral oil, petroleum, and lanolin can really do a number on sensitive, and even not-so-sensitive skins. I wanted a product that I could use on myself without experiencing painful stinging; and once it passed my own personal inspection, to also use on my clients in my own practice," claims Harubin.

"I started experimenting and creating my own moisturizers and tested them on myself. Then I brought them into my practice and used them in services for my clients. I created natural and gentle sugar and herb body scrubs, which were used in my spa pedicures and also for sugar body polish treatments. Then I created whipped jojoba moisturizers to be used as a premium, super-hydrating aromatherapueutic moisturizing treatment for dry skin. The unique blends of natural essential oils add a calming and therapeutic effect to these moisturizers making them irristable to use," adds Harubin.

When these lotions and scrubs were applied to spa treatments, Zen Glow Spa clients went wild for them and requested these body treats be made for them ? to take a memory of the spa home ?
